About Me
I directed tech transfer offices for 39 years, first at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and then at the University of Florida. While I was at UF, the Milken Institute ranked our tech transfer and incubation operation No. 3 in the nation. We started 200 new companies and raised billions of dollars in investment capital. Through the Institute for the Commercialization of Public Research, I co-founded another 80 companies, established with $23 million of matching capital from the State of Florida.

Because of my time at UAB, UF, and the Institute, I have an extensive network of investors, corporations, entrepreneurs and others. I also co-founded and operated the Southeast BIO Investors Forum (SEBIO), now joined with Southeast Life Sciences with a combined super conference and other periodic regional meetings.

My network continues to expand, and I want to help, not hurt. Can we talk?
